Yesterday I was speaking with a Richmond circle member after our Monday meditation about some issues in our shared service to our church. I expressed my desire to use this work, like much of my other activities, as a study in collective governance: a way to inch towards social memory. He is wise enough to acknkowledge the loftiness of the goal and the hubris of tying my gripes with the details and inefficiencies of the roles to this goal.
